Security Lights

Like most, I have lights referred to as "Security PS" and "Security DS" on the light panel by the steps. I'm assuming that these are motion activated? However, I have not been able to figure out how these work. When I turn them on, they stay on constantly. Is there a special trick or are these lights motion activated?

Any assistance is appreciated.

The switches by the door are mis-marked in my opinion. They should be marked as "patio light" at the door switch. That is how I use mine, as patio lights as they do stay on with that switch.

The switch in the bedroom turns on the motion detectors, but someone else will have to help with that as I have never used them as security lights.

Ours are labeled "Motion", "DS Security" and "ODS Security". If you push "Motion" button then both driver and passenger exterior lights are on a motion sensor and will turn on if activated. Or you can turn them on to stay on with the "DS" or "ODS Security". There is also a " Motion" by the door as well as over the bed. At least that's how it works on our 2016 Anthem.

Unless we are outside continuously at night we leave them set as "motion" mode. Works great when you go around to check power/water. Motion light activates instead of me saying to myself "d@mn." Forgot to turn on lights

Alec's coach works exactly the way that mine works.

However, I had a "dead on arrival" passenger side "security light". Simple to replace.

Your labeling is the same as the 2014's which do not have motion activated security lights. I do not think the 2015's had motion activated security lights, they are just on or off. The switches up by the entry door put them on individually and the switch above the bed (or by the couch) turns them both on at once.

No wonder I have never messed with the motion sensors..... I don't have them It's been too long since I read the owners manual.

If you have them and they operate like the 17's you activate motion on the switch by the door by just pressing the center section of the switch. To turn them on constantly use the top and bottom bar.

Over the bed, just tap the switch and motion will be activated, press and hold the switch and they will turn on constantly.
