Part of DW's "inside" checklist before getting under way is to deflate the bed. Then when we set up, she just blows it up to our settings. 55 for her and 80 for me.

I actually like the Sleep Number bed.....when it WORKS (which is not often). This is our second bed like this (had one in the previous coach). I always remember to deflate the bed before travelling. However, our bed will NOT hold the air. It leaks out so it starts at my perfect number of 50 but then goes to 25 or 20, or 15 during the night or sometimes over several days. However the remote will show that it is still at 50. We had the exact issue with our last bed and replaced the caps several times. It is REALLY hard on your back, shoulders, hips when you wake up and your bed has deflated.

Check underneath and make sure your tubes haven't been crushed/scraped into a hole as they commingled with the slide mechanism. That's what ours did...Sleep Number sent a whole new inflation motor and tubes...no questions ask and at no cost.

We woke this morning with significantly less aches and pains after increasing our pressure.

They did the same thing on my S&B pump and tubes. I have found that their CS is great to deal with and they can normally troubleshoot right over the phone with the problem and the repair.

Yes. It would seem like it would be comfortable at a lower pressure, but you will develop neck pain, back pain, hip pain, etc. If you keep to almost or fully inflated, it is better, but still not conducive to a real restful sleep. The only way I was able to correct it was to get a good inter spring mattress. It is always comfortable and always provides consistent support.

Sorry, but not everyone agrees conventional mattresses are the best. We have been using select comforts for 20 years and would never go back. Everyone is entitle to sleep on what they like. One of the big pluses for us ordering an Entegra is that it comes with the materess of our preference.

I like 45-50, the DW like 60-65. Also, we had aches and played with the settings and found that we had no more issues when we used our pillows from our bed in our home. We use a memory foam pillows. No more aches or pain issues.

True, and I didn't say they did.

Just as true, not everyone agrees a Sleep Number is the best either. I have had one in the S&B for about 7 years. I consider it a real mistake and will never buy another.

JMO, It costs way too much, it does not live up to its hype. It was made with very poor quality of materials, if any part fails, it costs an arm and a leg to fix it. It is simply not anywhere close to the comfort that can be found in a good quality inter springs mattress...

As I said a couple of times, JMHO. Regardless, you are entitled to your opinion as well.

I am not one to continue to say something is good, just because I paid good money for it.

Have you even tried the Sleep Number in the Entegra? I have a sleep number in both our home and the Entegra and like both. Like what was said before, why say the sleep number is no good, overpriced, etc. when quite a few others actually like the product. By the way, I set my side at 65 and wife sets hers at 45.

My husband likes 55 and I like 45. We love the sleep number bed in our S&B and are thinking of getting one for our road home as well.

After trying different number my wife settled at 45. Myself, I like a harder bed and I am set on 64. We would prefer to have the choice of an adjustable bed, over that of a standard matters. One level of hardness means some has to compromise and prefer not to lose!
