Sewer Hose Opening in Wet Bay Sealing
Howdy All. The sewer hose opening in my wet bay on my Aspire is pretty large. When I hook up and run the sewer hose out thru it there is still a large gap. Any suggestions on the best way to seal that gap up to help keep critters out?

These ar available at Lowes. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sani-Seal-W...For/1002887988
The slinky fits in the middle opening and the seal is the perfect size to seal the wet bay. Don't need the screws for mounting, it just pushes in

After repairing significant damage from rodent invasions I found this product, which has the advantage of being available in multiple sizes depending on the size of the opening. I have one on both the sewer opening and fresh water opening in the wet bay and one on the cable/power opening on the other side of the coach. Highly recommended.

Newmar uses one of the flange covers with a hole cut out for the hose. They feed the macerator hose though the flange cover and when you run the hose out you simply screw in the flange cover. I ordered an extra flange to protect the bottom of the hole cut out as it was unprotected on the ground side so I have a flange cover that I will be making a hole in to fit the macerator hose. Got the flange from Entegra parts. Part # 0278702 Cover,ACS HATCH THD 5" BLK and it was 6 bucks.
I screwed the flange part up from the bottom to protect the edge of the water membrane that they simply cut with a hole saw leaving the ragged edges.

Copper or stainless scouring pads, because they won't rust.

I have seen this product advertised but can't seem to find a price for it on their site. Can you tell me what you paid for this ?

Cut some panty hose and fill with some steel wool. Won’t need more than one small package of steel wool.
Cut and tie the ends to make an 2 pieces.
8”-12” length on each.
Mice won’t chew through the steel wool. It will be infinitely flexible and adaptable to whichever direction your hose wants to go.
After 3 years, still doing the job.

Made my own with some stuff I had laying around my shop. One for the power cord, on for the water hose. Has a wing nut on the other side.

I replumbed mine so I can fit the drain hose on the outside.
Made dumping a whole lot easier.

I’m probably the exception to most. I drain, close everything back up, and hide the hose behind the rock guard. Don’t risk critters or smells getting back into the rv.

Funny you should say that. We are mostly just weekend campers and generally we don't empty until we leave. Seems like what you are doing makes sense. That said I also like the permanent exterior set up from Flyer 15015. Will certainly look at that as a possibility.

When you have time could you post a picture of what the pipe looks like from a distance outside ? Trying to get an idea how much you pipe extends outside and how close to the ground it is.
Thanks
