Shade Motor replace policy as of today.

Shade motors and labor will be included up to 3 years of age.
4th year, motor only, labor is on the coach owner. At the end of the 4th year it is 100% coach owner.

This could change, but that was the policy as of this morning.

Quick question...does that apply only to the first owner or also subsequent owners?

Is it normal for the shade motor wiring to be exposed like this, dealer told me they all are like this?... sure looks cheesy on a 500k coach

No not normal. Yes it is cheezy on ANY coach, regardless of price. That wiring shows no pride in workmanship. Imagine what it looks like in places you cannot see.

Thanks for seeking out that clarification Chuck. Looks like I have another year. My fornts have all been changed out X 2 and are now all red - good to go. The infrequently used side ones are original and are sure to fail at some point. I think I will start using them more so as to aquire more red motors.

You're welcome Bob. There had been so many different reports and I had a motor that needed replacing, I went by the factory today to get the straight up story. Hope it helps others.

jeffnjen, I am really sorry to see that wiring of a shade motor. It's not that hard to do it right. This is on an old Classic with a new red shade motor.

Thanks Chuck for going right to the horse's mouth and getting the correct information about the shade motors. I hope I did not add to the confusion with my post from 7-13-17.

"OK, I just got off the phone with Entegra CS and was told that due to the age of my coach that the shade motor replacement was on me. My coach is a 2014 that was manufactured in I think April 2013. So check with CS about your shade motors and it all depends on the age of the coach. A quick internet search shows the motors sell for around $90.00 a piece. Again Thanks for everyone's help."

Called CS today about my A/C and while on the phone with Anthony I mentioned that I had two bad shade motors and was told by "Mike" that I was no longer covered he checked and advised that I was still covered under the shade motor warranty and that he was sending me out new motors today. Told me I had about two months left and then I was on my own with the motors. Not sure why Mike at CS told me I was not covered, but sure glad I am!

Jeffnjen I am the second owner of my coach and was covered.

Ok. So the motors are on me. Fine. Where online did you find them. I've apparently been looking in the wrong place. Thanks in advance for all of the incredibly invaluable assistance!!

What year is your coach, I am not the original owner of my 2014 Anthem and they are covering the shade motors as of right now. Like I have seen from other post if you put the year, make and model of your coach in your signature that helps everyone give you the correct information.
The maker of the shades are United Shade and Entegra CS told me the shade part number is 0713807. Hope this helps

My coach was delivered in Feb. but was not sold until May 2014. My 4 years ends in May of 18.

Yea...1/2 of mine look like my pick, the others are not as bad...as a person that does electrical wiring for living, this disturbs me!
If Entegra doesn't clean these up...I will!
