She’s now 10 years old but she’s still lovely!!!

2012 Aspire DEQ
(Just some good news!!)

Well we’ve now had this lovely gal for 10 years (proud original owner), and 75k miles, 36 states, and countless memories. Yes, we’ve had some issues, but I’ve been able to resolve most of them!! And this group has been tremendous with all your help!!! I know we see a lot of posts expressing all the issues, but I’m not sure if we’re one of the lucky ones or since we purchased as Entegra was getting started, but our problems have been resolved quickly and have not caused us to miss a beat. Even this past fall, heading to DisneyWorld we had a tag blowout (they were NOT GoodYears ) Little damage and Goodsam, yes even Goodsam has a good day now and then came to our rescue to have us back on the road within 2 hours!!

We’ve thought about trading her in for an upgrade, but as my wife says “why get rid of a good thing” (as I look at her whimsically thinking about a new wife) but just like a good wife of 43 years I would not trade her in!!! (My wife that is )

Here’s to another great 10 years, but I’ll have to figure out how to work around the 10 year rule at some RV parks.

Anyone who would disqualify your coach for staying at their facility certainly would be guilty of contemporary arbitrary judgment. Your coach is as nice looking as it was the day it was built, and is just as nice looking and as any newer coach on the road. Congratulations on owning and enjoying a great vehicle.

She's a beaut ! (Clark!)
Asked a 20yr. mobile tech in Phoenix what he would buy. He quickly responded buy a good one, and if you have good one, fix the problems, and they ALL will have problems, then keep it for a long time.
He said the new product coming out leaves much quality to be desired!

Most places that have those rules allows you to send a picture of the coach then they will approve it.

Wonderful! If anyone ever questions your "10 year old coach" ... send them pictures and you will automatically be let in any RV resort. I feel the same way about my 7 year old Anthem .... I will just continue to fix the things that need fixing and enjoy it.

I’m with you. As much as I am envious of folks that have newer. Our Classic coach was well taken care of by her prior owners. And by us.
Yes, it’s a lot of effort with keeping her looking sharp, but it’s worth it.
Like Groucho said; “Any club that will have me for a member, I don’t want to join”.
If a park can’t get over themselves by a photo of a well cared for coach, they don’t deserve my patronage.
Safe travels

Thanks for sharing. You have a great looking coach! We have had the same debate about upgrading our 5-year old Aspire. So far we are taking care of things that break, keeping it clean and looking nice, and enjoying this beautiful country we live in.
Best regards.

Beautiful looking coach and you should have no issues with any of the parks with the 10-year rule.

Our Monaco Dynasty just turned 20-years old this month and looks better than new. We have had zero issues getting into any park with the 10-year rule. We merely send them a picture upon making the reservation and those RV parks that we frequent don't even question us anymore.

I agree with find a good one, keep it maintained, fix the little problems before they become big problems and enjoy them for many, many years. We have had ours for 15 years this month and plan on keeping her for a few more until we get nearer to retirement, then we'll have to see how we feel at that time. Right now 20 years and 130k miles and she's looking and running better then new.

We have enjoyed our 27 year old rig, for 20 years using your owner philosophy.

It looks its age, but then we do not travel as much due to worn out human bodies.

Our goal is to always avoid commercial transient housing.

2012 RBQ here. We are in the same boat so to speak. If anyone asks, it’s a 2013, next year it’ll be a 2014. 🤥

Nice to see another classic and owners that still appreciate the old style.

Cheers

Your Aspire looks great. I can appreciate how much effort it takes to keep it that way. We have owned our Anthem for 6 years now and have seen a lot of this beautiful country over the nearly 80,000 miles she has on her. Let’s keep enjoying them.

She's lovely all right. Cheers to your contentment and happiness. Wouldn't worry so much about the 10 year rule, it's discretionary.

Looks good Jeff - next year I will join the 10 year old class too. Been on here for 10 years too - hard to believe with my first 13 gas rig.
