Slide--Nail Scraping on Blackboard Noise

Hi Folks,
My 2019 Entegra Insignia 37MB just returned from a mostly issue free month long trip. But I have a troubling slide issue with the large slide.

1. After driving the home stretch back to Southern California from Las Vegas and parking the rig indoors I extended all 4 slides to begin unpacking. This was done at ride height on a level pad.

The large refrigerator slide went in about half way and screeched like scratching nails on a blackboard, but with a deep loudness. I suspect the the "box" of the slide was acting like a big megaphone and amplifying the sound. I stopped the slide and inspected inside and out. I carefully checked for any obstructions or anything that seemed unusual. Nothing. I thought that perhaps the rubber seals around the slide were hot from the drive through the desert--it was about 100 degrees, and had stiffened up (but this seems counter intuitive). Anyway, other than the horrible loud noise, I couldn't see anything out of place and I had no choice but to retract the slide. It got past the 5 second period of noise and sealed flush.

Thoughts appreciated.

Check the inside rollers on the bottom of the slide and see if they are binding or not rolling as the slide moves in and out.

I would also check around the rollers first before looking for something more ominous. Any debris, small rock, hex nut, wood screw, that winds up in front of the roller will start making the blackboard noise as the rollers move from carpet onto hard flooring.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll check out the rollers more carefully.
