Slide rollers tile damage

I have a sheet from Entegra titled "Tips for Maintaining your Entegra Coach". One of the items says:

"Protect the floor where slide-out rollers rest on floor during transit"

Does anyone do this and what product do they use for it?

thanks

Wish I had seen the sheet. The slide rollers in my cornerstone stained a few of the porcelain tiles. Turned out to be metal shavings embedded in the rollers from coach construction that rusted over time and stained the porcelain. Had to replace a few tiles. That raises a different issue because the dealership didn't use the right grout and used paint to try to match the original color. Couldnt believe it!
The paint has worn off and now it looks horrible. I'm in the process of re-grouting the affected areas. Don't let this happen to you.

I have seen the same sheet from Entegra. That sheet was in my manual book from my coach.

I do not do anything to protect my tile when I bring the slides in. I just make sure I am at ride height, nothing is in the way, and I have eyes on the cat.

We do get some marks on the tile after we travel. We clean them off after we extend the slides. We do not have any permanent marks.

Newmar owner here....and we have to do the same. We have plastic pads that we put on the tile floor before slide retraction. Each roller then rides on the plastic pad protecting the tile from scratching. I understand that most of the wear on the tile will occur while driving and the small movement the slide undergo when the chassis flexes.

Of course we have to keep the floor and pads very clean to avoid any grit on the pads from causing the same sort of wear.

Is this normal for the factory to leave metal shavings? It took me several days to clean up all the dirt and get it looking like it was at least new. The generator looked like it had been in a dust war and lost. The undersides of the slides were a mess. It is hard to believe they come looking so nice on the outside (and inside) until you start looking closer. Looks like one more thing on the to-do list, full under-carriage cleaning and salt neutralizer bath. Looking at videos of the manufacturing process on YouTube, the factory line is a mess with crap all over it - guess some of it finds its way into their products.

The coach should be delivered clean by the dealer. Most charge a set up and delivery charge. ( whatever they want to call it ) They are supposed to be checking for proper operation of everything pre delivery. That complaint belongs with the dealer.
