The Amazon 523900 option works on my 2021 Anthem 44F superslide! Installed it yesterday ( first drilled the holes out to 5/16”) and then finish setup and torqued the four mount bolts to 20# and hit the retract button. Motor did not seem to struggle getting slide up above the recessed position when fully extended and slide moved smoothly into full retract - did seem to move a little faster.
I have also bought the Klauber K01431B300 - it too, arrived yesterday. I’m thinking i will remove the Amazon 523900 and install the Klauber after a couple of uses and then know that I have a working backup in the Amazon.

I bought 4 different Amazon motors all recommended by various people on Therese blogs. Even a $450 one. None would bring the Superslide in without assistance. I opened up the bad Klauber gearbox and found the failure. A gear bushing insert into the aluminum housing had elongated thus causing the gears to no longer align properly. My choice now was to buy the replacement from Entegra. The B300 Klauber motor. Guess what? It would not bring in the slide either. It would but you had to run the slide for a second or two multiple times to creep up the ramp and of course when it clears the ramp its an easy retract from that point. Several videos and emails to Entegra parts and service resulted in the belief that the new Klauber motor was not up to par. A new motor was sent to me and arrived today. To windy outside in Yuma today to change it out but that is scheduled for tomorrow. Still not sure why the slides move on metal to metal with no teflon runners or bearing surfaces but that’s the Entegra design that they continue to produce.

This could be a battery issue. Try starting your coach when you pull the slide in.

Klauber motor
Yeah, I’m aware of the current draw issues thus I always have shore power plugged in or generator running when bringing in the slides.

It could still be a a power issue if there is a poor wiring connection or undersize wiring. Over the years Entegra has used various connectors between the motor and the harness, some ok, some not so great. I know it's a pain, but you may want to measure the voltage at the motor with the motor under load.
Also check that the connections at the slide controller are secure.

I think that's a good idea, so I started looking for some. Maybe 5/16" X 1", but they appear to be called clevis pins, and with no reference to what material they are made of. So, how to tell if they are strong enough to run the slide, but will still shear before the gears? Am I over-thinking this?

I recently asked Entegra parts about the "shear" pins. Below is the response, note they are 1.5" long Clevis pins. I bought these to have on hand.

Michael, I’ve seen it referenced both ways and can cause some confusion. If you reference by passenger slide/drivers slide/bed slide and vanity slide, most will know what you are talking about. At least with the 44b floor plan.

I have always taken it to mean the "ramp" slide, the only one of the four that needs to go uphill when retracting. On the 44B, yes, that's the one with the fridge and TV.
