Slideout will not fully extend

I have a "16 Anthem 44B and for some reason the front curbside slideout will not fully extend. It stops about 1 1/2" from the wall. I've checked all around for obstructions. The motor and drive mechanism seems to be fine. No abnormal noise when operating in either direction. Everything appears normal except it stops short of full extension. Can anybody help me with this or suggest something else to check out?

Bob, if you look in the first or second basement compartment on passenger side there is a stop rod with double nuts to set the travel on the slide. Check the ones for the extend side and see if they’re come loose and contacting the stop too soon. I think the nuts are 5/8 and should be tightened together to lock them.

Check outside by pulling back the rubber seal on the bottom of the slide. There may be an obstruction that one or more of the floor rollers are running into preventing the slide from fully opening.

Bob,
Also look on top pf the slide when it is in the Coach, has a ceiling vent possibly fallen on top of the slide? Although, I would think you would hear a cracking or similar sound if this was the case. Also, if you go back to the 2nd cargo bay, extend the tray completely out the driver's side, crawl in and look up you'll see 4 sheet metal screws holding a black panel in, remove that and you should be able to see the cog wheel and the extension/retraction rail. Has something become misaligned or slips near the end of the extension movement?

Problem resolved. It was the stop rod needed to be re-adjusted. The lock nut and adjustment nut were loose and moved preventing the slideout from full extension. I have attached photos for future reference.

Yep, if those nuts come loose it’ll definitely mess up the extension.

Glad this problem is resolved.

We have had return vents fall into the slide roofs and prevent them from opening all the way, it's thing with the magnet vents

Bob,

Thanx for the followup... those are great pictures visualizing the stop rods and nuts.
It looks like Rollin 101 identified your issue exactly!
