Smell in half bath on 2018 Aspire 44B

I have seen previous posts where owners talk about a smell in their half bath. Well, we are part of that crowd and the previous posts mention a glue smell, where as ours is a diesel smell. I am wondering if something is not sealed as it should be due to the Aquahot being right below this half bath. Yes, we are using the AH,

Any ideas?

Take a strong flash light at night, two people, one shining the light into all the nooks and crannies outside below the bathroom. One standing inside of the bathroom with the lights off looking or any light coming from the flashlight. Spray that area with expandable form. You should see the large holes in the slides where wires and hoses run inside the coach. Anything left open like that is a way inside of the coach.

When my coach was new, I went over the entire coach and filled every nook and crannie with low expanding foam. Not so much for odors, but to keep pest and air leaks out of the MH. It was an enjoyable few hours in the empty basement, I learned where everything goes, which was very helpful when it came time to troubleshoot something.

It is diesel smell, not exhaust. I left the fan on last evening and it was better this morning.

I was one of the people reporting a smell in our Half Bath. Like you, the smell I personally think it smells like is Diesel. For me it's not fresh diesel from the pump. It also doesn't smell like 'burned' diesel (behind a big truck). To me, it smells like a "shop". Like grease. If I open the bay below it where the Aqua Hot sits .. the smell is strong in there and it permeates in my whole storage bay. But, where it's strongest is definitely in the Aquahot bay.

I tried airing my bays out per some suggestions on here and it did work. Even having the window open for a little bit helps a lot. But, the smell returns as soon as we close everything back up.

I'm gonna try the flash-light test tonight. What a great idea! I could not find any diesel from leaks and our Aqua Hot seems to vent correctly outside. The smell is pretty strong unless we keep venting in air from outside.

Got that diesel smell too..........2018 44W plan.........AH is opposite wall of bathroom.......Since mine smells of when the AH first fires off........I am thinking it is getting into the bathroom from outside........maybe a window leaking or something.......???

Chuck, thanks for this suggestion, finally got DW at the coach and we were able to shine the light in the basement, found a gap around the heater vent under the bathroom cabinet, I will be getting some expanding foam to close that off.

Thanks again.
