spartan academy
hoping someone can help us out with current directions to the rv spots to park in for the academy. When I asked spartan the address they gave me doesn't seem right so hoping someone can guide us. Asked for a map but the guy said he didn't have a map??? though I did find a map from another post from 2020. Just checking to make sure it is the same and in 2020. thanks.

I'm sure that they will send you a map and instructions prior to the class but in the meantime here's a screen shot of their location at 1000 Reynolds Road. They used to have a placard for each coach in front of your assigned spot. I'm not sure if they are still doing that or not.

thanks, for some reason I have not received the email and they were going to resend the person at spartan told me to gps and address 920 lansing road but that's no where near the location. So was super confused why he didn't have a map like this one. thanks this is a big help. The person who used to handle the academy left so not sure who is now in charge

If you have confirmed you are in an upcoming class, your parking site will have your name on a red colored standard designating “your” spot.
Back into site, park your tow in front or to drivers side of your coach.
The area marked in the photo shows correctly.
On site dump and water available as long as weather permits.
Best to show up with empty tanks and full water. If they shut down the on site dump and fill, there is water available along side the front of the building by a large bay door. You can also dump at the fairgrounds.
Nice gas grill and fire pit for your use…if you didn’t eat too much in class. They feed you pretty well.
Check current road conditions. I-69 interchange had selected ramps closed last month. Yes, I-69 is still bad…

From my experience that is a distinct NO. that stretch is the worst I have experienced.

How much of that stretch between Flag and King?
I’m going that way in 3 weeks.

Eastbound it finally becomes descent near Williams. Speed limit is 75, I was nervous at 60! Bounced the microwave turntable out of the drive gear among other things.
Section from Williams to Flagstaff is beautiful.
Later...

We ran that route in 2018 and the stretch between Flagstaff and Williams was awful. Did it again about a year ago and it had been repaved, no problems. Williams to Seligman was smooth sailing as well, beautiful views westbound coming down that "big hill". At Seligman we detoured onto RT66 and took that to Kingman which was a decent 2 lane road and very scenic. Along the way we overnighted in Valentine at Keepers of the Wild (Harvest Host), a great experience (take the feeding tour). https://myquantumdiscovery.com/staying-on-the-wild-side
OTOH AZ US93 from I-40 to Phoenix was terrible, AZ US93 north of I-40 was ok.
We are going to Spartan on Thursday, is there a class this week?
