Spartan steering noise and vibration update

I had an email from Joyce this afternoon even though she is on vacation...gotta love her! she never quits.

Spartan had our coach for 4 or 5 days where one of the techs from Entegra accompanied the MH and worked side by side with Spartan to address our issues. I am sure Entegra is making sure and possibly learning so another coach does not leave the factory with the problems we experienced. For that I am grateful.

On to the steering and vibration issue. Spartan spent two days that I am aware of, using our coach to experiment with the "new fix" as our had the noise and vibration at low and high speed of 45 MPH. The first fix, a hose, did not solve the problem, so another part was ordered. Joyce was ecstatic to email me that her tech drove the MH back to Entegra with NO NOISE. We do not know what parts were used and Joyce was as anxious as I am to find out what the fix was. As soon as I know I will post what that was. If this did work, I hope the fix will be released soon. That's all I know for now, but it is good news.

I saw it !

Chuck I saw your rig driving down the highway. The driver was wearing a pair of these!

Just kidding - Glad the problem got resolved.

Thank you Chuck for the pain you are going through. I am also anxious to hear what "the fix" is.

Chuck,
As you suggested in another thread, I contacted Charlie at Spartan, who "put my coach on the list". Will the repair notice come from Entegra or Spartan and can I have confidence that all individuals will be contacted?

Thank you for all of your efforts in this matter.

The steering is a Spartan issue, so I am sure the notice and repair facilities will be Spartan. From my previous experience with Spartan chassis they have been great to work with on upgrades and notices.

My previous experience was the location of the fuel filter being impossible to get to after the coach was built. Spartan sent out notices to owners and the kit to move the filter to the rear of the engine compartment to it's dealers.

We are currently in route to pickup the coach. I won't know anything until we arrive on Friday and can find out what was done.
