Absolutely have it done. They will retorque several of your U bolts. Also after approximately 5000 miles you want your u-joints and other joints greased and serviced. Excellent time to have all this done to include your generator if it is ready for service. Like Lynn and Dan said, the wife and I ordered the Koni shocks and have been completely satisfied with the shocks and everything else that Spartan did on our Anthem.

I would definitely have the inspection done. I have been through the class when I had a Tiffin Bus with Spartan Chassis. Last May, shortly after I bought my Affinity, I had them do the Inspection, ride height adjustment, lube the chassis, flushed my radiator, among other things. I'll probably take it to them again next year!

As it turns out Spartan offers a lot of a la carte RV service. They have a giant list of things they do and will do anything up to genny service. I was surprised when they told me their shop rates. I don't recall the exact figure ($80 I think) but their rates were lower than my local RV dealer and my local Cummins shop. The added advantage is they have almost every part on site.

I agree they can do a lot. Furthermore, what they do, they do it well! Yes, their shop rates are discounted during winter months, but their regular rates are well over $100/hr, but competitive. At least, that is what they charge me this past May.
All the Best!

Thanks all for the response. We have decided, based on all of the positive responses, that this will take place when we are the training class next fall.

All,
I received this from Chris McCord" "Kate asked me to shoot you some information on the services we perform here at the shop. I will send you a copy of our maintenance menu. The pricing on the menu will be outdated next year but it should work for a reference of what recommended maintenance we suggest for your coach through the years. One thing I haven’t updated is a 6 month lube as our suspension supplier increased the suspension lube to every 6 months. If you have any questions please let me know."

Forgot to mention that when they did the inspection they found a incorrect installation of our Air Force One braking system. They corrected it and the installing dealer paid me for our cost of correcting the issue.

Big Mike from the Spartan course said when they inspect braking systems they find more hooked up incorrectly than correctly plumbed.

Hi we went to the training class last summer. We have an 2014 Entegra Aspire. We bought it in September 2013. I was complaining about our air bags not keeping their air for a reasonable amount of time.. We went to Entegra for our 2 yr rpi. The third day I could not start the engine. The air dryer had cratered. They replaced the dryer and then the following week we went to Spartan. The long and short is that they replace all our ABS valves and a lot of the piping and other equipment. This amount to about $6000 which was all on warranty. We learned an awful lot of information at the class that was not provided at the place where we bought our coach. Hope this helps, Terry McMahon

This was my experience...we went to the class with our 2014 Anthem with 30,000 on it. They found a cracked radiator, damaged steering parts, power steering hoses with "staining" from seepage, and a host of other problems. From the $125 inspection, they fixed over $6000 worth of issues.

Keep in mind this is all under warranty...it was on their dime and it would have been less expensive for them to let things slide. It is clear that the techs are under NO pressure to do anything except an excellent job. This level of customer service (and the great ride) is why no matter what coach I buy, it will have Spartan chassis.
