Spontaneous Slide Extension

I have not seen a post on this...I don't think. I put the coach into storage with 15 amp hookup. Went to check on it two days later and the DS living room slide was fully extended. Luckily had room on that side and nothing was hit,,,but unnerving to say the least. Anyone else had this happen? CS said it might have been water intrusion?

, The only good thing , and this isn't really a good thing to the member who reported it ( I think it was a Newmar ) you weren't driving when it went out .
Are your slide controls , wired or controlled by a remote control ?

Hydraulic slide? If so I had to replace a solenoid one time that pumps oil. Try closing it and see if it creeps out again

There have been many posts on this at irv2. If it's an electric motor , the brake may have become disengaged . If it's hydraulic , the fluid may be low.
What system do you have ?

Not sure of the brand of the slide motor. To be more precise it was the driver side slide....and maybe the water got in to the control box in the electrical bay or the leak I have over the door that maybe somehow affected the lighting/control panel?

Here is a tech doc on Power Gear Slideout motors that explains the brake function in case you need it.
