Springtime Drive in Utah

During this trip from North Texas to Southwest Idaho we got to see most of the weather this time of year has to offer culminating yesterday in a snow storm in northern Utah.

Note: When you drive in wet snow the front CMS sensor will cover and quit along with a message on the Meritor panel. When the snow melts the message will go away but ACC will not engage until you do a power cycle.

Good report if we knew what those acronyms meant. Read like IT tech talk. Keep it simple for us slow folks. Thanks.

Now I know why it's said not to go north of Sarasota before May. I don't envy you Vance, but thank you for testing the CMS sensor for us.

We are held hostage to numerous schedules. If we want to see the grandkids we have to strike when we get the chance.

Vance, we have a storm line moving through the Metroplex (DFW area) Friday afternoon, hail, storms, and a cold front tonight dropping into the low 40's - typical Texas weather. (mainly Dallas and east)

Ahhhh. Things we don't have. No wonder I didn't know. Sorry. We have the "Eye" and plain old cruise control.

Our CMS went out in heavy rain. Really heavy rain. Yep, no cruise. CMS is awesome, but it would be nice to select conventional cruise control on the fly.

Weather Call called me this afternoon. My security cameras are out and all my neighbors are in bed. We may be full-timers after all!

Hi Vance:

How long you going to be here?

We just got back, was South for the winter.

Perhaps we can do breakfast when you get here?

Not sure where you were exactly in Utah, but I have a photo almost like yours, after leaving Zion and headed north on I-15, also in April a couple years ago. The passenger side wiper broke to add a little drama.

We were in the vicinity of the aptly named Snowville!
