“Stacking” OEM GO Power! Solar?

Hey guys, has anybody added a 2nd Go Power! MPPT Solar Controller to their existing system in their Entegra? I have factory 400watts and the 30amp MPPT RV-C controller, I see in the specs it will handle up to 600watts.

I’d like to add 2 more 400w panels for a total of 1200watts, but my dilemma is how to do it? Do the controllers wire in series or parallel? If they wire in series, I can easily add 2 panels and be done.

ie: my existing 400w and 2 more 400w panels all wired in series to controller “B” which is then wired in series to controller “A” and then on to my batteries.

Or does it need to be done in Parallel?

ie: I have to make 600w of solar rearranging wiring on panels in series to feed each controller individually, and then those individual controllers each wire to the batteries.

I see on Go Power!’s website the controllers can be “stacked for more capacity” but it isn’t really clear on how they are wired.

Thanks!
Jerry

Edit: yes, I realize I will have to upsize the wiring regardless of how I do it.

If your current controller can handle 600W, you can't add any 400W panels (that would put it over 600W).

You could add 2 400W panels wired to a new controller that could handle 800W.

Having two controllers is no problem but their panels are separate. I have 300W of panels on my roof with one controller and I have another two portable panels that connect to another controller. The outputs of the controllers are in parallel feeding the battery (as is my converter/charger).

Wire the controllers to the battery in parallel.

The two new panels could be in series if the controller can handle that input voltage, or parallel. You will need wire sized to the amps of the panels, either in series or parallel (hint, it will be different for each, please figure that out on your own and think about the whole system a bit before hooking anything up).

The existing panel, wires and controller can be left untouched, you won't use any of it most likely.
