Is that just an illusion, or is that the way that it installs, and if so, why is it that way?

Mine is straight, its an illusion and its really only noticeable in the pictures. The lighter paint at the top makes it look like its a larger area.

Installed it so the door opens toward the back so I dont close the wet bay door on it.
Contacted Kelly at Summit about the stainless knob availability. He said they are expecting them to be available 1-2 week of August. Didn’t ask pricing info. Attachment 293066Attachment 293067

Thanks Jeannie
I thought it could go either way (flush or not flush (illusion)). Couldnt understand why they would do that, but my eyes were taking me there.
Appreciate the clarification.

I think it was $140 + shipping...and they are proud of their shipping. I think it was $25.00 Plus some new hardware. Even at this price, its a lot cheaper to replace a smashed/painted one with stainless than it is to have a plastic one painted to match the coach. If I recall I read on a thread here, $400-500 for the painted version?
Mine wasn't smashed or cracked, I just like shiny things...

Thank you Jeannie.. Appreciate it.
And yes, I have no illusions that this is a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of a new plastic door with two or three color paint. I've been lucky so far. I have started using a small bungee cord to tie the door to the sanicon hose itself and that has worked very well so far...
I do like the "look" of the Summit door and I will be reaching for the phone to purchase one within 60 seconds of me smashing my plastic door, if and when.
Summit is also often represented at most of the FMCA and big rallies so that is probably an alternate way for people to buy one...
