The shop in Columbia found the drive and tag axles outside of the specifications.

I met with Bill, the owner, he said everything looked ok to him other than the rear axle alignment his team performed.

Problem: it was so windy today from Columbia to Kansas City, I cannot determine if anything has improved.

I am going to need a calm morning and a flat straight stretch of hwy to close out this thread.

Big thanks to Joyce (Entegra) who ensured everything was effortless on the warranty side.

We are camped just outside Fort Leavenworth for a couple days -- while I attend to some business.

Curt

Well, one things for certain, you'll find plenty of straight on I70 headed west. Good luck and hopefully the winds will hold off.

On another note, one nice thing about I70, West of Salina, the rest areas all have a loop for RVs only, away from the trucks ... makes for some affordable dry camping opportunities as you make you way across the state. Safe driving!

Curt

I'm curious to know if your handling issues have improved with that alignment in Columbia?

Second subject: We formerly were assigned at Whiteman AFB ( near KC) and often drove cross-Kansas. A good stopping location in Colorado is the CG at the Air Force Academy. It's open year round. Might be a bit frosty, but beautiful.

Dave:

I need to wait until I get a day without so much cross wind on the highway.

Hopefully tomorrow.

We are in Oklahoma City @ Twin Falls tonight headed to San Antonio.

Curtis-If you want to avoid Fort Worth traffic, look at FM 51 (Gainsville, TX) south to I-20 to US 281 South. Kind of depends on where you want to end up SA though.

I went that way last week. Much better than dealing with IH35 traffic.

Thank you kindly -- I will take your route suggestion tomorrow morning.

Another thread closed out.

Finally got into a stretch of flat road with no wind this am.

Steering feels great.

I didn't understand how the axle adjustments made to the drive and tag could effect my ability to drive in a straight line -- but I am a happy believer now.

Thanks for all the assistance along the way.

Driving is so nice and easy (one hand) now -- just like my SUV.

Curt

Curt, I'm really glad your steering is much better. I try to help when I can, but I hesitate to recommend something unless I've been there. I have a lot of faith in Bill after he fixed mine and again I'm glad he could help you. Noel

Curt,

Glad to hear you're now happy with the steering. Hope mine improves the same.
I'll be keeping this thread active for a few more days to report how I make out with my steering.

Contacted Joyce and help for me is in progress. She is awesome!!

An alignment for my coach is scheduled for this coming Tues morning at McBrides Springs & Suspension in Albuquerque, NM.
Planned on being in Albuquerque area for a couple weeks before heading to Phoenix so it's fitting in nicely.
Also have scheduled an appointment at Camping World for warranty repair of a dish washer leak - first load of dishes resulted in a mop job (DW was #@%&*) - hope it's just a loose drain hose.

I'll report back how it goes.

Charley

Great news Curt. I leaned something about tag axles, thanks for sharing.

That's AWESOME Curt! So fun to watch the thread progress. Hmm, so, perhaps that's what my rig needs, an alignment. Anyone have recommendations for RV maintenance here in Spokane, WA?
Thanks!
TriMoot.
