I have a 2017 Anthem. When we put out the step cover it rattles quite a bit.
It "hovers" slightly above the "track" that it goes out on. So what is happening is that it when it flexes down it bumps on the "track" making a noise.
One way to fix that has been suggested is to put shims at the end of the track so that they fill the space and the end is fully in contact when it is fully extended. Thus no noise.
We tested this with cardboard and it works. DW is concerned about the aesthetics.....

What about using self sticking felt pads available at any hardware store, Lowes, Home Depot, ACE etc.
