Steps, Mirror Cameras and Key Fobs, all at once?

Steps quit working, same day the cameras in the mirrors quit working and the key fob receiver has been failing to pick up on the key's presence off and on for months.

I learned through a Google search that the key fob issue is a known issue that Spartan will replace (if I could find a shop to do it.) They send out a new receiver and two new key fobs.

But the fact that these other two things just started happening this week when taking out the RV for the first time in a few months - very strange.

LOOK at this wiring in the dash - unreal.

Steps, Mirror Cameras and Key Fobs, all at once?

The problem with the wiring is the fact that Spartan sells the same harness to multiple manufacturers and each manufacturer connects things to different things so, good or bad, there are a lot of loose connections. They are using electrical tape to keep the rca jacks from accidentally separating. I also have an unused jack but it is just an extra wire. As far as your camera is concerned, the cameras donít connect directly to the radio, they go through a switcher. Not sure where that is for you but my Cornerstone has it behind the front tv! Not lying! Have you checked fuses. Also check to see if youíre getting power to the step?
The switches that are loose in the dash are for programming the key fobs. The key fobs do eat batteries which is probably why youíre having problems starting. When you are not traveling, try to keep the fob away from the front of the coach.

There is a box behind the radio that has the two camera inputs. There is only one connection to the radio camera input called CMM. The step is not controlled from that it is controlled by the two connections on the door frame. The antenna for the fobs is down in that mess. Sometimes it needs to be rerouted but more than likely it is the fob batteries or the trimark modules need to be replaced

Ok so if I am reading this correctly, the steps, mirrors, cameras and key fobs are all not working.
It is most certainly not a camera controller, or a fob controller. What you are most likely dealing with is a power loss to the customer supply circuit from the chassis.
Most Entegra coaches these items are powered from a large 12 volt relay in the left front electrical compartment(first exterior compartment on the left)
You will need a test light or a multimeter.
Check for 12 volts on both sides of the large terminals.
If you have voltage on both, this is NOT your problem. If you donít then you have to check the small terminals. One should have 12 volts and the other a ground. To check the ground properly you really should disconnect the terminal, you donít want to read back thru the relay. If you have power and ground, measure the small terminals of the relay with an ohmmeter. It should have continuity.
Another test is to use a jumper wire across the large terminals to bypass the relay and power the accessory circuit. Use a properly sized wire. If you are not sure have your shop or technician check this relay.
Hope all this helps.
Bob

If what you are needing to get replaced is the Tri-mark that is easy to change out. It is probable mounted to some plywood at the bottom of the opening in the dash. Remove the screws and stand the old Trimark up. There will be wires on 3 sides so stand it up with the no connection end down. Then put the new one right next to the old one. One by one disconnect from the old unit and plug in the new unit. Once moving all of the plugs then test the system to see if everything works. If is does then mount the new unit to the plywood. As was mentioned above there will be wires that are taped off and not connected to the plugs, don't worry about that since they do not gett connected to anything.

I agree with Bob, relay is a problem.
If you don’t have a volt ohm meter just take one of the large terminals off one side of the relay and touch it to other terminal and see if problem goes away.

Check your front seats to see if the power functions work. If not the main breaker that controls most of the forward 12v stuff is tripped. Look in the third/fourth passenger side bay for the large breakers and one is labeled as front or forward something like that.
