Storage bay lights 21 Anthem

Is there more than one control for the storage bay lights?

I thought the control was the one by the door labeled
CARGO
SLIDEOUT

But I recently found the bay lights on when the under slideout lights were off. I pressed the control which turned off the bay lights but turned on the slideout lights. This lack of synchronization kept going several times. I finally turned off the Master switch and now synchronized.
Is there some other switch?
Is this a common thing?
Any way to avoid?

I put switches at all cargo doors so when I open a door the light comes on the off when it closes. I did this because of what you’re describing

I don't know how different the '21 is from the '19, but since the cargo lights are a part of the exterior lights at least on the '19, can you trying turning off all exterior lights to see if that will bring them back in sync? On the '19, it's just a matter of pressing the "Exterior" light bulb on the Vegatouch screen. If you have the Vegatouch Nebula phone app, you may be able to control them independently.

On my 2021 Aspire In addition to the switches/touchscreen near the door as well as on the VegaTouch main panel and the iPad app labeled just “cargo” there is also a “Cargo” switch in the wet bay on the touchscreen panel that shows the 3 tank levels. It’s in the lower left corner of the panel. I don’t know whether the Anthem is the same but maybe that will help. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

Thanks Dewey, great information. The Nebula app on the iPad looks different than on the iPhone but I was able to figure it out

Good point Archer! And I found out it does the cargo light independent of the under slide light so maybe that is how they get out of sync.

Of course, there are individual mechanical switches that you can turn on and off for most of those bays.

Gary, where are those switches on a ‘21 Anthem?

I’m guessing Gary has the individual light fixtures like I had in our 16, unlike the present strip lights.

Tim is suggesting that it is different on the newer coaches and that may well be. On my 19, the individual switches are screwed to the basement ceiling floor inside each bay door.

Didn't realize they were doing then differently now...

It seems I am constantly reminded how little I know about our motorhome. It seems that our two large storage bays have a strip light that I was not able to find a basement switch for. Our cooler bay and the rear bay with the electric disconnects still have the small light fixtures with their own switch. I didn’t check drivers side.

Tim, thanks for that info. I also found out that those switches do not work completely independently from the overall cargo light control. If the cargo lights are ON those switches turn those lights OFF but do nothing when the cargo light control is OFF.

One of my grips as well. It's either wait for the Nebula app to boot up on my phone, or walk all the way around the coach to turn the cargo light switch on.

I don’t have a cargo light by entrance door like our 16. The under slide lights switch by door seems to turn on the cargo lights as well.
