Sulfur smell

We often get a strong sulphur smell when running fresh water on city. I’ve sanitized the FW system but that didn’t help. Any ideas for clearing?

When I had that my water softener needed to be back flushed and all of my coach filters changed. If you are using a water softener, clean the resin with Iron Out or another water softener resin cleaner. It only takes a couple of TBSP for a portable water.

Your hot water tank can develop a sulfur smell if it hasn't been used in a while. You can try flushing it really well, and if that doesn't work you may have to drain it and clean it.

Thanks Chuck. I’ll try the filters. Where do you order your filters from?

The large whole house filter I buy at Walmart. The charcoal whole house filters, a 2 pack for $9.
The icemaker water faucet filters I have not purchased in years. I bought 6 Home Depot brand ice maker filter and change the end off of the factory installed filters. Home Depot does not carry those anymore, but someone linked replacement filters the other day for $15. each.

Ours does that primarily in the half bath and kitchen sink. I sanitize and change filters every six months and it helps. But still need to run both faucets for a minute every time we stop at a new spot. It stays good until the next time we move...then repeat.
