The Whirlpool fits great in the existing space. It comes out maybe an inch further and about an inch below the cabinet. The new Whirlpool bracket the unit hangs on needs to be mounted an inch below the Samsung on the back side. Also, there is the existing metal support bracket at the top that needs to be drilled for the new position of the top bolts. The bracket is supported by wood side strips and is not attached but rests on them. Just remove and drill the bracket for the new bolt positions. See the provided template. You need to remove the blower and reposition so it blows out the back. Also remove the punched cover that will allow the blower air to go out the wall vent. Total time to r and r was 45 minutes. My wife loves it. Winner winner, chicken dinner!

If you can, would you please provide your model number? I Googled the Whirlpool Gold to check it out, but there is more than one convection model. Thanks!

We ordered our Advantium. It will be installed March 1st by Cherokee Farms RV Center in Foley, AL. A good service center. We got the oven from H.H.Gregg in Pensacola with free deliver to Foley. $1025 including tax. Just giving the old Samsung away. C'est la vie.

Oh to have popovers again.

You guys who switched to the Whirlpool Gold Angie Advantium. Have you used them enough on convection to know how you like each of these. I know Entegra is now installing the whirlpool and it is cheaper than the Advantium. Trying to decide which one to get. Thanks!

Just had my advantium installed this past Tuesday. I love this thing. It does so much more and seems like it can pre-heat without going into an error. Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I do. I love to bake so I am excited. Enjoy.

Cherokee Farms is fantastic! They installed my desk/cabinet and fixed my aqua hot. I've sang their praises to Entegra and I understand Entegra has really taken note. Also, if in the area - Foley Auto & RV is an authorized Spartan shop if you need one.

X2 X2 Gene I'm sure either would be ok, but one reason the Advantium cost more is that it also does more. DW thinks it's great, so that's one more reason. Noel

Enjoying the new Advantium. Made popovers, it worked. Like the features. It toasts bread in four minutes, 2 minutes a side. We can chuck the toaster now.

The unit needed to be shimmed to the right about a half an inch to allow the door to open fully.

One small issue is the surface light. It is a 50w G8 halogen with a low Kelvin temp 2950. I've tried to find a G8 LED replacement but it needs to be dimmable and fit the base. I did find 20w G8 xenon bulb 3000k which is better but not as white as the coach LEDs.
