Yes, thank you Noel that is what I meant. I have read that the 1.7 cu. ft. Advantium won't hold a 13X9 baking dish.

Have been going thru cataract surgeries so have not installed. After the Tampa super show a tech from the factory is coming down here to Naples and we will install it then. I will post after we have used it. The post about it not broiling is correct. We didn't care about that feature as we carry a Treager pellet smoker that does it all as well as a Weber Q200 gas grill. For the price difference you can also buy this smoker and still put money in your pocket.

On convection, you can use the full-width metal racks and bake a 13x9 dish. You can use both racks at the same time for things like cookies. (this is the current "1201" models of Advantium, not the predecessor "1001" which didn't have the full-width racks).

For speedcooking and microwaving, you can't use those racks, you have to use the turntable (which cannot be shut off). It's 13" diameter, so a 13x9 inch rectangular pan won't fit on the turntable (the corners overhang). There's a metal tray you put on the turntable support for speedcook (and convection) and a glass tray you use when microwaving. The glass tray cannot be used with speed cooking or convection baking and the metal one can't be used for straight microwaving (just some speedcooking versions that include a lower level of microwave power. The oven display will tell you which tray to use).

You CAN turn the turntable on or off on our Advantium. Noel

Interesting - which model do you have? Ours is a CSA1201 and we can't.

ETA - I compared our oven's manual to the most recent one on the GE site for the same model - looks like they've added that feature since our oven was made. Darn it!

Update, the Whirlpool Gold was installed on Monday. So far it works great. Test cookies, reheated a rack of ribs, popcorn, frozen meal, all was perfect. Extremely quiet. Highly recommend. May put one in the house.

😎 does it fit the space without modification? Our Samsung is terrible as a convection oven, it does not heat evenly.

Gene, don't know about the Whirlpool, but the Advantium fits the same space and DW thinks it works great. The Advantium also has toast and broil....may or may not be something you want, but works great for grilled cheese etc. Noel

We replaced the Samsung with a GE Profile. Not the Advantium, but didn't need the broiling feature and it was only around $400. After all, we're from Wisconsin so why would we need to grill cheese.

We do have a Wolf countertop oven which is awesome that handles broiling and then some. I see that the Whirlpool Gold is 1.9 cu ft rather than the typical 1.7 cu ft. That's interesting and I'm wondering if the usable interior space is actually larger or just a numbers game. Also wondering about the exterior dimensions. Had we not bought the GE I'd be looking hard at this model.

Isn't the Whirlpool Gold what Entegra is going to be installing in the 2017?

Yes, on all three models. Just wondering if there were any cabinetry changes or if it's just taller or the same physical size.
