When dumping, I always use my gray to give the black a lil "whoosh". As the black becomes empty, I open the gray valve and let it backfill the black to 20 or so before closing the valve again.

My hope is that sudden rush of water into the black tank will help stir stuff up.

I love the macerator but it's very slowly compared to a slinky.
