While on the subject of modifications, has anyone tried to find a way to actually LOCK the bay doors by using the key fob? The bolt comes across but is easily pushed aside with any instrument of choice,,,,not very secure. Wondering if anyone found a way to keep the bolt firmly in place or replace the mechanism?

My cornerstone has the manual lights like everyone else, No switches. I was not aware anyone had the switches in the cornerstone. I know of three other cornerstones and you have to manually reach under and turn on the light. Maybe it was something they did in the earlier models.

Great mod, but I could not find the switch on EBay. Could you post an item number?

Cost to do is $10.00 and about 1 hour on a good afternoon. You just cut the white wire (ground) going into the light, (you will see where Entegra did the same thing for the operation of the light you are just adding the switch at the door), tap the white wire with the wire from the switch. Done! The switch is on ebay for 79 cents, it just completes the ground for the light to turn on..

Cornerstones, as of November 2012, do not come with auto switches on the basement doors. Only the individual switches on each light at each ndoor...

Corey, I have thought about that at times also. Finally came to the conclusion that a lock only keeps an honest man out anyway so just dropped it. If I am really concerned I just use the key and lock every individual door, a positive lock. Ask me how many times I have done that, LOL.

Gene, I can say this is one of the few things I am disappointed with. I haven't seen another coach that advertises electric locks that are so lacking. I don't like tempting fate, and when I went through my delivery, it was made clear to me how easy it was to get in. I was hoping someone with lots more experience and knowledge would lead me to a modification that would solve the problem. I have asked Entegra CS to see if trimark might have an aftermarket solution.

X2 Corey, let me know what you find out, it would be nice. One caution, on my Travel Supreme the push button and door handle entry pad both quit working and the only way I could get the bay doors open was to push those pegs back with a screwdriver.

OK !!!!!!!
Got the door switches on the basement ---great idea

Just finished the extra shelves in the basement (all camping chairs, fly rods, long handled cleaning supplies, Cabellas rocking chair and still a itsy bitsy bit of room left after relocating the Dirt Devil about 2" higher so the slide will clear when moving in and out).

Modified the sewer hose holder (still sucks, no pun intended, well maybe )

Can't do the wine cooler thing because that is where the dish washer is----soooooooo

What's next guys----the money is burning a hole in my pocket.

This is a great thread
