As I"ve seen replies in this thread from owners of about 5 different brand coaches, is the device linked here what is actually used in our Entegra's?
Mine is a 2017.

Looks like a good device. Simple. Completely self contained.

Unless the owner of your specific model jumps in here, there are a lot of different configurations of BCCs. You will have to look on your firewall or in your battery compartment to find what brand is in your coach and then there are plenty on this forum that can help you.

Jim,

On the back basement wall PS there is a carpeted cover. Your BIM is behind there. Somewhere around 2017 or 2018 Entegra switched to a different brand so yours may not be the one linked.

If we look at everyone's signature lines, we can discover some important things. The OP owns a 2014 Entegra Anthem coach. 757Driver owns a 2014 Entegra Anthem coach and has modified his coach extensively in the electrical/battery/solar panel areas. I have $100 that bets that 757Driver knows more about the OPs coach than most of the rest of us know that have commented on this thread, and that $100 also bets that 757Driver's information is correct.... !!

To find the solenoid, have someone push the boost switch on and off and listen for it.

Love this site, you folks are all so knowledgeable...

My battery jump switch isnt working... IE. I press it on the dash, and the two batteries do not connect.

Also, the alternator stopped charging the house battery, and the generator stopped charging the chassis battery.

Usually doesn't matter, as we drive with the generator on as it powers the house fridge and AC, so house battery is getting charged (we also have solar).

So, sounds like the big boy relay is bad.

Problem is, the prior owner already replaced it at least once, a couple years ago.

Any reason it would keep going out?

How do I make sure its getting a "signal" to close?

Better to start a new thread as opposed to responding to a 2018 post (FWIW - you can refer to your posting above in a new thread).

Do you have a wiring diagram for your coach? You need to get one, and then figure out what has been added or taken away.

Put a voltmeter on the control coil wires and trigger the big boy to close - see if you are getting voltage across the terminals. If not, start looking for a failed fuse or broken connection/failed wiring.
But you need the coach wiring diagram to make an educated search for what has failed.

Big Boy solenoids don’t fail every day when properly used.

Not quite sure you have a problem. Go on You Tube and find Tuesday’s with PJ,
I think it may be covered in “Part 4”. You may have nothing to worry about.

Agree...sounds like a classic isolation relay failure. Put a voltmeter on the coil and press the battery boost switch. If no voltage then check your BCC. It would help to know a little more about your coach.
