I have been watching this thread
it does truly amaze me that the issues were not identified and corrected on the factory floor before the customer ever saw the unit
i am not bashing any assembly line of the rv manufactures
but our first damon...was the twin to the one we have now.
it had a HOLE in the block and liked to spray oil in a fine droplet
this engine obviously left cummins, then left f/l on a chassis, then left damon with a box on it, made it 2000 miles to our dealer and nobody ever noticed the leak or the oil use until we showed up to do the pdi?
so we swapped vins and took her twin that was sitting at the other lot.
i just do not understand with the amount of money these rolling boats cost, that the manufactures are not fully engaged in preventing issues, rather than the norm of fixing them if a customer notices.
It is good the company is doing what it can to make it right...but wow talk about a huge loss to your time.
