The power floor over the entry steps

We have a 2018 Aspire. For the last two years we haven’t found a reason to use the power floor above the entry steps. How do others use this feature?

I use it every time we travel so I have a floor to put my feet on. It also helps with heating and cooling the area in front of my seat.

Our Springer Spaniels look out the window or lay there when slide is extended.

We use it every time we travel. It's a long way down to fall if the little yorkies take a tumble off the passenger chair foot rest.

We automatically extend the step cover EVERY time we start to move. My wife seems to feel that she needs a place to put her feet while we are traveling down the road other than letting them dangle in mid-air. She also likes to have her lap flat so she can examine maps and hold a GPS and a hundred other things while she travels and finds that having a surface there really helps. In fact, her legs are short enough that the only way she can get her lap level is to have a plastic box on that cover so that she can put her feet on the box which sits on the step cover. Finally, her ability to get into or out of the co-pilot seat is a whole lot easier with the cover closed than it would be with the cover open.

Frankly, am amazed that anyone leaves it open all the time
-- when they travel..... seems unsafe.

Gary

I close it even when DW isn't sitting there to keep the dogs from going down in the stairwell. Closing it to help insulate against the cold chill from around the bottom of the door is a great idea also !

Every thing Gary said plus if she falls a sleep and drops her book/Ipad/phone/etc easier to find.

We also find the area is quieter with the step slide cover extended.

Every time we pull out of the campground or Fuel stop - DW extends the step slide cover.

We always use it. Safer for the dogs and the copilot. Neither of us are comfortable with out feet dangling.

We extend ours when driving for her (DW) to rest her feet on the floor, and when we leave the dog while we are away from the coach. She (the dog) fell one time while we were gone (we think) probably jumping in the passenger seat, barking at an innocent passing dog that was being walked by.
