Thetford to Bayonet adapter
Looking for a way to attach a conventional sewer hose extender to the Thetford Sure Lock. I can find a male Sure Lock to female, but not the other way around.
Is the only easy extension another $40 Thetford hose?

Let me see if I understand
RV---Tethford Smart hose---- End of hose (Spece) Sewer inlet
You wish to go
---Tethford smart hose---Extension hose---Sewer inlet.
Try
RV--Extension hose---Tethford Smart hose---Sewer
That is how I do it.

Wish I could. My 2015 Cornerstone is "hard-wired" with a Thetford smart hose exiting the tank on the passenger side of the coach and running through a channel, exiting the driver's side of the coach. The hose terminates in a thetford style male fitting.

Well checking the web site they do not offer any adapters of the type you need... You might be able to make one, but it would be a bit odd.
Question.. how big is the male end of the cam lock fitting.. Coudl you simply clamp a short length of 3" hose over it? That might work.. Or not.
That would be my best suggestion.

Thanks for double checking.. I have come to the same conclusion. I'll buy a Thetford exten$ion hose ($40) as a short term solution. I'm really not happy with the way the 90 degree nozzle fitting (with handle) fits into the smart drain universal fitting. If there is any vertical stress from the hose coming in at other than 90 degrees, it leaks. The old-school bayonet fittings don't seem to have that problem.

Did the above post with the solution that Dusty56 came up with help? I saw that Dave had a new system installed on his at the FMCA rally when he picked up his new CS.

Absolutely - that's the beauty of the forums for Entegra newbies like myself. I am currently devising my long-term solution. The short term solution is easy:
Hose Extension
Don't get me wrong - the stock Entegra solution is great in concept; keep the sewer hose away from the water bay. My only problems are with the length of the supplied hose and the connection between the 90 degree handle and the adapter (which leaks if there is any vertical stress). I know there is a residual drainage issue after stowing too. Swapping out with the Drainmaster / Lippert solution or some variation thereof will probably be close to my long term solution. Other stuff to dal with first.

I'm going to check out those other threads.. I really like the Smart HOse, but do agree, that elbow to threaded adapter concerns me.. I've not had any leaks YET, but it concerns me.

Mine leaks - a little. But a little is too much. Nasty.
I've ordered a replacement elbow from Amazon to see if that helps.

You are not the first to post a leak with the stock hose setup. I guess that is why a few have gone to the modification. Like you, a little leak is way too much when it comes to sewage and why I was not happy when mine leaked at the sewer connection on the Anthem. Something that should never happen on an upper end coach.
