Yes, Entegra's are more heavily discounted, although not enough to account for the whole difference.
But Entegras come with almost everything standard, things that are options on other brands. Things like AGM batteries, dishwasher, heated floors, ceiling fan, dual leveling (air leveling and mechanical) and heat pumps, outside entertainment center, and much more are all standard on the Anthem and many of these things are extra cost options on other brands. Make sure that you compare the equipment lists carefully and you may see a lot of the price difference show up there.

The cost differences I noted accounts for these items are added to the base price of the other brands.

I've heard that if you get a 28% discount on the Newmar or a 35% on the Entegra, you are doing well. I don't consider a Tiffin a true competitor of either of the others because they are subpar in my opinion. I ended up with an Insignia because that is what I could afford but I loved the Dutch Star, especially the head room in the rear bath (I am 6'4 and typically don't get a lot of head room!). The Entegra W is a great floorplan. I wasn't sure that I needed 2 couches for 2 people but it is really nice when company comes over or if we have overnight guests (they say the fold out bed is really comfortable). I don't think you can really go wrong with either one and I'm sure price alone won't be the only deciding factor. Good luck!

Because of the glut of 2019 Newmars still available, I’ve heard that you can do better than 28%. Now is a unique opportunity for those looking at new Newmars.

As noted in my post earlier in this thread, the big downside of a 40 foot tag-axle coach is that you end up with very limited basement storage space.
Think about it this way: When you add a tag-axle to a given chassis, you lose approximately four linear feet of what would otherwise be available for basement storage - three feet for the tag wheel & tire plus about six inches on either side for clearance.
So if you assume a 40 foot coach on a non-tag-axle chassis has X linear feet of basement storage, a similar coach on a tag-axle chassis has to be 44 feet long just to stay even. Another way to think about is that a 36 foot coach on a non-tag-axle chassis will have the same amount of basement storage space as a 40 foot coach on a tag-axle chassis.
Newmar has been offering 40 foot diesel motorhomes on a tag-axle chassis for a number of years. They sell a few of them, but not many.

As RV.NET poster 'Executive' stated about 5-6 years ago "Tag's just look sexy!". And owning a 40' with Tag coach, I do understand the comments about lost basement storage. Some coach makers, with different chassis, do a better job then others in basement storage with 40' tags... No question that a Tag 40' coach, will have higher overall CCC, stability and an added pair of brakes then a 40' non tag. And one of the most important features to me of the 40' Tag, is the Drive Axle is set forward to make room for the Tag, and thus, much tighter turning radius for maneuverability. (Our 40' CC Allure with IFS, turns in a tighter circle then our 99 F53 Chassis under a T-28 Bounder could turn !).
And I agree with some of the other comments in this thread. Entegra would do well to come out earlier, then later and then playing catch-up, to build a higher end 36-38' DP. New Aire's stretch this year, and ISL - have owners of he ISB first generations shorter New Air's - trading in to the larger unit. Don't also forget that Foretravel has the IC37 now, which is probably slotted in between the Anthem and Cornerstone as far as quality and 'goodies'... Entegra could lose market share, and have those coming out of 45' Cornerstones to smaller coaches - jump brands. Only because they have no product to offer in that range...
Steve - Unless the newly Winnie Owned Newmar has changed, another cool thing is they will let you do custom spacing out and minor configuration changes to an ordered Dutch Star. (I've been in some Dutch Stars that had many materials pulled down from the higher up the food chain Newmar's. Sure you pay for these, but, you can get a very personal coach in the process... Good luck on your decision!
Best to all,
Smitty

Exactly the reason we are in a New Aire, Entegra has conceded the market for small luxury coaches! All JMHO
