Ticking noise

Just came back from our state inspection, and I’m hearing a ticking noise in the front passenger area. Remember, when you were a kid you would put a baseball card with a close pin on your tire to make it tick or flap, that’s what this sounds like and it corresponds with acceleration, but holds fairly constant once you’re above 50 miles an hour.

I don’t see a stone on the tire.

Any suggestions as to what to look for?
It’s a 40 mile trip back to the shop that does our work and inspections, and I was alone on this trip trying to figure it out. Next up taking a passenger see if they can or closely pinpoint the source.

See if the bent the wheel cover replacing it if they pulled a front wheel.

The tire will buldge at the bottom hitting the cover and making a noise.

X2 on the hub cover. Could be too loose, but will also tick if it's too tight. You should have a Spartan hub wrench that came with the coach.

In addition, if that hub cover is loose, it will knock the lug nut cover off. Another lesson learned the hard way.

WINNER VOLTDOC - free cocktails the first time we ever get the chance to shake hands. Your suggestion was exactly what was going on. While everything looked normal, it required readjustment.

Yes, we have a wrench. Forgot to offer it to the technician yesterday and they apparently did a workaround which is the root of the issue.

Huge thank you!

In fact, cocktails for everyone who contributed to my dilemma. I hope we all get a chance to shake hands and say hello someday.

Don
