Tire availability ?

I am in the market to replace my steer tires on my 2017 Anthem. The Michelin tires on the coach are 315/80R/22.5. After searching and finding no availability for the Michelinís in this area, I searched for Toyo and Yokohamaís in that size, I struck out again. What has happened to the tire industry ? I donít need tires right away, but I am surprised.

Supply chain issues seem to be the order of the day.... or at least they are the most recent excuse for everything seemingly being all screwed up. I'll bet Michelins are available.... might have to wait for them to be shipped to my local dealer, but they are there somewhere and based on their reputation, I would not have Goodyears on any wheel of a motorhome I own and as heavy as these coaches are.

To add more, I priced tires and was shocked at the increase over just 6 months ago. . One place quoted 2 grand for 2 toyos installed and balanced. 7 grand for all 8 so they definitely penalized my less than full replacement. plus those were smaller 295 80 22.5. Michelins were substantially more. Good luck.

I just bought one spare, I wanted it to match my other tires, and the one I got was the only one around here. The price had gone up substantially. I think everything's gone up. I just bought a small vent adaptor for a job I'm doing tomorrow, a year ago it was $5, today was $15. I asked the guy about it, and he just said "yeah, prices have changed a bit" through his mask, that was not covering his nose by the way.

I heard today the official inflation rate is 5.8%. From what I am seeing and hearing it seems to be a lot higher.

I should be replacing the 6 tires on the rear but I'm forced to wait. Hopefully, the future will get better.

We put on the Firestone FS400 tires and love them. They have an extra groove on the inside and outside of the tire to disperse heat

I recently had Firestone FS400s put on the front since thatís all I could get. They are a really nice looking tire. They were probably as quiet as the Michelin but the wondering wore me out. I ran them for 2265 miles before having them removed and replaced with the Michelinís XZA2. The dealer new I was apprehensive and agreed to replace them if I didnít like them (Firestone 90 day try em Promotion). I just finished a 1000 mile trip and thankful to have Michelins back on the steer!

Tire availability ?

The rv Michelinís Iíve seen have 1/2 the tread depth of ďnormalĒ truck tires. I assume they make them that way knowing long mileage isnít important but initial handling was. When I drove cab over tractors on our sleeper team operation, new tires for the first 4-5000 miles ( one week) weíre always squirrelly and wandered They always told us the tread had to break in. The second week it all got better and in fact went away. I always hated new tires when I came in and saw the shop had changed them.
