Tire Pressure with Trailer

Am getting a new Anthem and was wondering if anyone had any idea how much weight a trailer would add to the rear axels weight. Unit will be the 44B (45'). Trailer fully loaded will weigh 10,000 lbs. and a tongue weight I presume to be 1000-15000 lbs.. Will not be able to get weighed before we head South for the Winter after delivery later this year. Have gotten some weight info from someone else with a like unit and rear should be set at 75 for the duals and 85 for the tags. I don't know if I should figure adding 1500 lbs. spread across the drive/tag tires and be safe or does someone have a more enlightened answer for me. I may be able to get it properly weighed on the way South but I would like to start out safely but not maxed out pressure-wise. I have the Michelin charts for the tires. Thanks for any input/knowledge.

I don't pull a trailer now, but there are a number of factors to trailer tongue weight...how you load the trailer, how many axles, actual tongue weight, etc...think someone would need more info to answer the question. I can tell you this...I have a hydra lift (500#s) and a motorcycle sitting on the lift (800#s), and I'm now running 85 in my tag tires and drivers, according to four corner spec...the coach drive great. That would likely equate to a tongue weight of around 1500#s. I don't think most trailers have more than 500 or so, but I'm not an expert of late (been 30 years or so since I towed).

Personally, I run 90psi in both tag and drive. I would never run less that 85 like Dave runs in his. Too much sidewall flex. Noel

I agree on the 85 minimum tire pressure. Most tire experts advise to never run lower than 80 as absolute min. All JMHO

Tire pressures

For Michelin inflation pressures go to-
Michelin North America RV Load & Inflation Tables
Remember front and rear tires may be different sizes, and dual or single installations.
