I have used it for years. Apply, wipe, usually looks cloudy or has streaks, spray a little water on the glass, wipe again, no streaks or cloudy look. It does wear off fairly quick, but if applied right before a rain that you must drive in, then the water just beads off the windshield - wipers usually are not needed.

Same here. We use the Rain-X windshield washer fluid and it does a nice job on our vehicles after it's been in use a little while. It doesn't have an immediate impact IMO.

Used to depend on it to get into the Micronesian islands with the 737. Carried a bottle in my Flight Bag.. used it every day.
Tried it on our old MH and the wipers skipped so bad we had to stop and remove it.
I can’t fathom why it works like a charm in A/C, and not a MH.

Same problem here. I always used it on cars and loved it. The RainX window cleaner works too. On the Class A it causes terrible skipping. Don't know why but I have heard that many truckers had the same problem.

All RainX is is a thin wax in a solvent. You apply it and wipe it off, just like any wax. The solvent evaporates and leaves a thin film of wax, which you then “polish” with a damp rag. It is highly operator dependent on wether it works or not. Put it on wrong, it sucks. Put it on right and it can be a life saver.

I use it , and has been stated it does wear off after a while . Thenrain X wiper solution works well and gives you a similar effect . I like to use
Wash and Wax all . Makes cleaning windows a snap and gives you a similar experience as rainX

I have considered using Rainex many times. It each time I go through the review process I give it another miss. We just crossed the 30,000 mile on the odometer and part of those miles is the never ending task of keeping the windshield clean. I want to make the task easier and not add potential complications which seems to be a risk with Rainex.

We were on a trip from Iowa to Alaska in 2015. Twenty miles out of Calgary during a rain storm the wiper motor gave out. Opened the front hatch, pulled the motor, unhooked the toad, and drove back to Calgary on a Friday for replacement. Long story short, whether truck supply or auto supply, no replacement to be had (orphaned part, evidently). Then it occurred to me - get RainX at the local WalMart. Applied it, and hit the road. Didn't need wipers through the rest of the trip, and didn't need to air freight special replacement motor to Alaska...
In short - RainX saved my butt, and saved my trip.....as I am still working and was under a time constraint on the trip. Been using it ever since.

We've used the Rain-X windshield washer fluid for years and would never use anything else. It seems to eliminate the smearing issue I had with the old style Rain-X but gives the benefit of beading to the point of not needing the wipers after a month or so of using it.
I also use Rejex, works just as well, haven't tried the more expensive polymers.

Used Rainx on mine and will not leave on any trip without applying first. For me is like checking the tire pressure. A must!
