The sticker on my trailer hitch has fallen off and I need to verify the max tongue weight for a classic 2015 K2 chassis. The hitch is rated for pulling 15000. Does anybody have this information for me

I see the 2020's with the same hitch show a 2400 pound tongue weight. I can go out this evening and see if there is a hitch manual in the box of many books.

I just checked the hitch on my 2015 44b...nothing stamped or stickered as to tow capability. The sticker on it says it was made by Curt and to see owners manual for capacity. Maybe call Entegra?
All hitch manufacturers that I'm aware of calculate hitch weight at 10% of towing capacity .
Brian,
I agree the rule of thumb I have been led to believe is you should have 10% of the total weight of the trailer on the tongue for best balance and control.

Yes we all know that a trailer should have between 10 and 15% of the weight on the tongue. But I was looking for the max downward force the trailer hitch itself was designed to handle. I think it was answered by jbhobbs54 in post #2
