Does anyone know how tall a toolbox we can fit in the first passenger side compartment with slide out drawers, and any brands would be great, tall is better as you guys all know.

I bought this one at Home Depot. Just noticed it went on sale last week. It opens and fits fine while still in the bay. Maybe one drawer larger might fit. I have mine on a slide so it sits 3 or 4 inches higher.

With the lid open it does block the light in that compartment so I ordered a string of LED lights to install in that compartment.

you might find that any weight in those drawers will collapse the slides/bearings in a relatively short time.

I focused my entire basement storage around including my tools and positioning all the weight towards the rear of the coach as much as possible. I have moved this drawer and tool chest to three different RV's.

I keep our lawn chairs (very light) in the front bin where most have their freezers and/or tool chests.

If I put that much weight in it, I would be more worried about the right front corner weight of the MH. I think for carrying the normal RV repair tools, it will do fine. My heavy impact tools will be staying at home.

I wish they still sold that Kobalt chest oneal has. I don't find it anywhere online. Anyone have any idea?

That is Lowe's brand and they are nice chests. Shop tool chests at Lowes.com: Search Results

Some stores have better selections that others, depends on the local market.

I have noticed I never see it in the stores any longer, mine is about eight years old.

Is this one pretty close? http://www.lowes.com/pd_351112-55738-TC27SS11_0__?productId=3439324&Ntt=tool+chests&pl= 1¤tURL=%3FNtt%3Dtool%2Bchests&facetInfo=

I looked at them and they were nice boxes.

I did find one on Amazon that will fit but it's only 13" deep. Oh well, maybe I don't need to carry so many tools, it's just that I feel naked without them

Terry, if max is 24.5 I did see a nice 20 inch Craftsman at Sears. I can't remember if it was 4 or 5 drawer. I was able to fit a 26 so went with the large Home Depot box.

I just measured mine and it is only 12 inches deep. It is actually working out well. The tools I wanted to take fit and I have enough room behind the tool box on the slide for my cordless charger, and the gallon jugs of oil, coolant and spare filters.
