Topper awning

My topper awning flaps and keeps us up at night when windy. I suspect it's too loose. Is 14 cornerstone and awning is a carefree Colorado. Can anyone recommend somebody in Tucson, Kingman, Vegas that is great w awnings. We will be in those cities over the next month.

If you are west bound to get there drop down to Phoenix and try NIRVCs new facility. It is open for service and storage and will soon be a new Entegra dealership when their license is finalized. They will do a great job and have you on the way.

Asan interim, I saw this approach...use a light weight rope around the slide and slide topper...not too tight, but enough to keep it from flopping.

These slide toppers are likely (all brands) to eventually sag and make noise when windy. This is a good approach.

40-50 mph winds night before last. I could hardly sleep. If my wife and kids had not been with me I would have run the slides in.

I have had problems with two of my slide toppers getting too flabby/floppy. I was told by EC CS that these Colorado Carefree slide toppers are made out of cotton. Cotton is a product that will stretch and that may be the problem. I have also been told that Colorado Carefree makes slide toppers for our slides that are made out of Sunbrella, which is a much stiffer and more resilient fabric. I will be looking into those in the future.

If you should happen to be in the Quartzsite AZ area in Jan Feb & March call Ron Butts 800 328-5100 with Shade Pro Awnings. He is in the area full time during this time of year and does service calls to surrounding communities. Main office is in El Cajon CA.
