Tow haul air connection
On my 2019 Anthem I disconnected my air line from the coach and apparently the air valve will not close. If you apply the brake pedal you lose all of the air in the primary tank. Any trick to making it close? I tried everything I knew and had to put the airline back on to keep from losing the air.

Did you try unhooking the coupler multiple times? Might be something under the seat holding it open.
Did Spartan provide a valve where you could shut it off, probably not.

There should be a control valve to turn the air on. DOT mandate a safety valve to keep from loosing primary air if the tow vehicle has a major air lose.

Spray with Silicone lube spray inside and out of connector. Then exec isle the connection with the mating fitting. It happens when you get road debris or moisture from leaving off rubber cap

I had Entegra lube it when I was at the Mothership earlier this week due to it sticking. I can get the connector to cycle closed but the internal valve is stuck open.

UPDATE-I spoke to Spartan today and they indicated that not only do I have a failed quick connection on my tow haul but there is a problem with a check valve which is supposed to prevent loss of primary tank air when the tow haul loses air.

Yes the protection valve should have isolated your tow haul after the pressure dropped to around ~75 psi in the tow haul ping tank.
Where did Spartan located the ping tank, relay valve and protection valve for the tow haul. I would bet they located it up between the drive axle or slightly behind that area.
I feel they should put it back in the engine hatch area in case it would need service like apparently yours does.
The components you need to change are not difficult to change, just where they are located. You should be able to get the protection valve at NAPA or any truck dealer. I’ll send you a pic when I get to the coach later.

The protection valve is shown as it enters the ping tank at the rear. This one just happens to be black in color most are metal color.
The second pic shows the ping tank, relay valve and protection valve. Disregard the the brake light switch on top of the relay valve, it has nothing to do with tow haul and yours will not have this switch.

I agree with this approach and it is what I did when installing an Air Force One towed-vehicle braking system on our 2018 Cornerstone:
https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/tow...ml#post4166311
If you read on from the post linked above, you'll see there is one minor risk associated with installing the ping tank and related components in the engine compartment, rather than as close as possible to the tap into the air system. And a few posts farther down, you can read my thoughts on that minor risk.

Could put the protection valve at the source of the supply air and run the air line to ping tank at the rear, but apparently the OPs protection valve has failed so someone will have to dive under coach to replace.
I wondering if Spartan failed to install a protection valve in the tow haul system, it would work find without it just wouldn’t have the fail safe protection.
