Congrats! I'd be interested in your rationale on switching from your AB to the Anthem.

The details

Thank you all so much for the very warm welcome. I will try to politely explain our decision to move to the Entegra family and some of the details of our purchase because those are the types of things I liked to read about on the forums.
We started out with a 36' living quarters gooseneck horse trailer we pulled behind an F350 dually. We found ourselves using it for traveling even when we didn't go to a horse event, so the next logical move was to upgrade to a MH that could pull a bumper pull horse trailer. In order to pull the kind of weight we wanted to pull that meant a DP so off we went to learn about tag axles and all the important parts about engine horse power and such. We decided a 450hp with a towing package of 10,000lbs and tag axle were our guidelines.
I had some interesting needs because I cook for large groups at the horse shows so a big kitchen was a must. I wanted a king bed, residential fridge, 2 full size bathroom sinks, and lots of storage. The 2008 Tiffin Allegro Bus 43qrp fit our needs perfectly so we hunted down a used one 2 years ago and bought it from a private seller. We paid $160K for it with 39K miles on it.
We enjoyed the Bus very much and drove it over 20K miles in 2 years with only a few minor problems. The biggest problem we had was the ride, it about shook our fillings out when we hit a pothole so we took it to Spartan to have the chassis looked at when we went to the Spartan RV owners training session. No problems found with the Bus so we just figured that was the way it was supposed to drive. We did make the trip to Red Bay to have the wet bay and rails issues dealt with and decided RBC was not a place we wanted to spend any more of our time.
The Tampa RV show was a fun trip to get out of the cold Knoxville weather and we checked out the Entegra coaches LD had there but the Anthem 42deq they had there was sold and locked. We went to LD to drive a not sold unit and put down a $2000. deposit on the one we drove. Cash no trade deal was $310k at LD Tampa, with trade $183k, Cash no trade deal at MHSRV Texas $310k $185 with trade, RVOne Orlando $312k no trade $181k with trade but they didn't have color we wanted.
I did some research for a used one that turned up a 2013 at The Motorcoach Store in Bradenton. We went to go look at it and drive it and called Entegra to make sure the warranty would transfer and now we own it. Brad, the owner took our Bus in trade and we wrote him a check for under $130K for the Anthem. We have made the switch and are camping in the parking lot to make sure everything is running. Our Bus was cleaned today and left here a few minutes ago headed to the wholesaler who bought it.
Last nights sleep was surprisingly quiet and we are happy with our purchase and to be a part of the Entegra owners group. Robbie, Jim, and Sweet Polly Purebred our rescued chocolate lab

Cool story and welcome. Good research on your part.

Interesting how often an Entegra test drive makes the decision urgent when all we meant to do was "check it out"
