Trailer brake controller fuse

I am in the process of installing a trailer brake controller on our '13 Aspire.
I located the pre-wired brake control wires behind the access panel by the drivers seat. The issue I am having is I do not have any power to the Pink wire which is supposed to be the hot power. I checked the fuses in the fuse box but nothing is labeled trailer brake. There are a few empty fuses slots and I added fuses to these but still no power. Does anyone know of another location or can anyone tell me what number the trailer brake fuse location is on your coach? thanks for the help in advance!

Ceo530,

Are you looking at the front PDC that's located in the outside compartment under driver's seat?

Should be CB1 (30A)

Yes, that is the compartment I am looking. Mine has two separate fuse box's the top one is ignition on fuses and bottom is constant. They are labeled 1-30 I believe.

Ceo539,

Let's confirm, your Aspire is build on a Spartan Chassis?
To my knowledge all of the 2013 Aspires were build on Spartan Chassis but not totally sure of that.
This is important as the wiring for the brake controller is provided by the chassis builder at least on Spartans.
Once I know this I'll check my wiring and get back to you.
Richard

Ok, never looked there...I was told it was under the drivers seat in the outside compartment. I will check this tomorrow. I have spent so many hours trying to figure this out
It is on a spartan chassis.

Ceo530,

Here's what you should be looking for. It's a bussman breaker located in the front PDC in the outside compartment under driver's seat. The breaker marked 30 with blue dot. The second pic is the wires you should find in the dash. They are all marked. SP900B is the hot 10 gauge wire.

The Spartan front PDC is located under the big black box cover not the two smaller fuse panels you are referring to.

OMG you guys are amazing. I located the fuse in question. So do I pull out what is there and replace with a 30amp fuse?

Did you check for 12 volt at the pins? Should have 12 volt on both sides if breaker is working and 12 volt on one side if failed.
Mine has a breaker in this position it's possible yours is a fuse.
I see no reason you couldn't replace with a fuse.

Actually once I located the breaker fuse, it was there and tested good. My issue was, I was trying to use the wrong set of wires to hook up the brake controller. There was a set of blue, pink, red, and blue capped off that I was convinced was the brake controller wires. When i saw the pic of the labeled ones I did some digging around up under the dash, and wouldn't you know it, I saw a piece of a label poking out of some loom. And from there it was smooth sailing. Thanks again for all the help. We are off to Idaho from CA tomorrow. Our first real trip in this new to us Aspire.
