Transmitter on DVD player in bedroom behind TV

The transmitter fell off the front of the player before we arrived at our campsite and, although I can see the electronic "eye" on the player through the opaque front and have placed the transmitter directly over it, it still doesn't work, and I've tried moving it around that area, but can't get it placed back in the correct location so that the remote will operate it without the TV being lifted up so the remote can see the transmitter. Also, there are two transmitters on the same wire but neither seems to wok.
Would some kind soul please measure the exact distance from the top and the right side of the player to the center of the transmitter? A picture would be great too. Much appreciated.

It's a Samsung DVD.

not sure but i think it goes on the back of the tv across from sensor on the dvd

Gave it a try but putting it on the TV opposite the sensor did not work.

Try 7 1/2 inches from the left and 11/16 inches from the top. These measurements are to the center of the little red sensor on our Samsung DVD. I have pics but can't figure out how to insert them right now. Hope this helps..!

Thanks, but I think we have different DVDs because mine looks like this:



and it's 14 3/4" from the left to anywhere near the sensor and about an inch from the top
