I added my card and still cannot find a trip function. I don’t think it exists. That’s a step back when trying to plan a trip. Luckily, I also use RV Trip Wizard and kind of merge the data…manually.

Next week I will be in Oregon for 6 weeks. Anyone know if you can use the TSD card at the truck pumps in your RV? OR has PUC diesel prices for OTR truckers that really don't apply to RVers.

You can use it in Oregon, just be aware the price the app shows doesn’t include the tax amount.

There is no trip function but you can move the map around and see stations. I would not want to use a trip function on a fuel app. There are much better apps to use . Plan your trip then look to see where fuel is on the route.

First I find a participating TA or Petro station in my Open Roads (TSD) app. I check the discounted price in Open Roads. My TA app is linked to the TSD account as the "payment method." When I pull into a TA or Petro station, the TA TruckSmart app automatically detects that I am there and after I find an open lane, TruckSmart will send me a code to activate the pump. After the pump is activated, you answer the usual questions, selecting "tractor", decline DEF, decline extra services and then enter my 4 digit TSD driver code (last four of my SSN). Next you will see "Authorizing Diesel", and you pump your fuel.
The discount comes through TSD, not EFS or TA/Petro. You'll receive an accounting by e-mail, usually the next day, of the purchase, showing the net discount. It can't be said too many times that using the EFS app does NOT guarantee you the discount found on the EFS app. If you are a participant in the TSD Fuel Discount Plan, you only receive discounts set forth in the TSD Open Roads app. There is no reason to use the EFS app.

On the TSD app, the default opening page is usually the cheapest diesel near your current location. Click on "Fuel Mao" on bottom of this page, and a wide area map opens, centered on your current location. With two fingers, zoom IN on the map. Then type in the city where you want to travel on the line next to the magnifying glass icon and tap the screen. The map will then shift to the city you typed in and you can continue your fuel search.

I agree. I have found another app called Mudflap and it works great at Murphy Fuel stops out west, Open Roads works great East of Texas. The only problem is you have to use these apps the day you plan to fuel up so you know what discounts are available.

The discounts rarely change very much so no real need checking very often. You are right. Open Roads is of much less usefulness if you are traveling west of the Mississippi. I have been VERY disappointed in Open Roads in this trip which has involved Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, New Mexico.... Actually I have a PenFed card and it offers 5% discount anywhere and that has been the best price of anything I have available tp me including OpenRoads (sad commentary!). I just learned of Mudflap and that might have helped me more in some cases.
My suspicion is that TSD does not run their trucks much west of the Mississippi and therefore does not pursue discounts west of the Mississippi. Also, the companies that have the best discounts in my usual territory (T/A and Petro) are much less common out in these states than east of the Mississippi.
I wish TSD would help out their motorcoach members with more attention out west.... I've sure bought a LOT of diesel on this trip !! .. .. ..

John, you don't get the PUC price. Some stations the card will work at the pump but in others you have to go in to the cashier and they run your card.

In Oregon when asked for PUC number just put in your license plate # and hit the enter button and that works

Out west here, the EFS shows very few stations showing a discount (almost exclusively Maverick stations and that price is not particularly good) and the TSD app is showing more stations.
So, now I have been directed to not use EFS and instead use TSD Open Roads exclusively.

I received the notice and there has been vigorous discussion on the TSD OPEN ROADS Facebook page. People did not read the e-mail and continue to use the outdated EFS app. and often received no discounts if they selected a station that is not in the TSD discount plan.
Think of EFS as a Visa card. But you only receive "discounts and special deals" from the Bank that issued your Visa card. Then think of TSD Open Roads as your bank. That's the way it works.

TSD is located in Texarkana, TX. They run trucks all over the United States, and at last count, there were 50,000 RVers signed up in the plan.
I just returned from a 1900 mile trip from Oklahoma to South Dakota. The only place I had to improvise (outside of TSD) was in far northwest Nebraska.
To stay up to date on TSD activities, I suggest their TSD OPEN ROADS Facebook group. TSD makes all announcements there on a timely basis. Also, they are very responsive to phone calls during business hours. JME.

I HATE Facebook, and try to avoid anything to do with Facebook if at all possible. IMO, Facebook, and their subsidiary companies, are 80% of all that is wrong with the world today.
Now, I just might look at the TSD page every once in a while for information on what they are doing as that has some real benefit if I can remember my login information. JMHO

And that is why I don’t use open roads. When I went to set it up I botched the password field. I called TSD and they reset my password to ‘password1’ or something simple like that and told me I could NOT change it. I deleted the app and am just fine with the EFS app.
For you OpenRoad users reading, can you change the password in the app? Maybe they fixed that issue. No way I’m using a card linked to a money account with a flawed password.
