TV size

I have replaced our out side tv with a 43” it fit great. I was thinking about installing an oled tv inside either 49” or 55”. Has anyone installed a 55” in place of the OE 50”? We have a 2015 45B.

TV size

That would be a pretty tight fit in our 16 44B.... I think the only way to make it work would be to extend the bracket out closer to the front of the fireplace .... I thought there was another thread recently about adding an extension/angling bracket that might work which allows viewing from both captains chairs. Would be curious to see what you come up with if you try it!

Looked at the OLED tv's at Costco the other day and went Hummm. I was thinking more on the outside TV to cut down on the glare. I don't blame you for wanting to upgrade the classics HD only TV. Big difference from the 14 to the 19 with 4k It will be interesting what you find. Keep us posted. We need to get past snowbird season where we can get a few trip with ours and see what needs upgrading if anything.

We replaced the 50" in our 14 Anthem DEQ with a 49" OLED. I had measured and knew I could have replaced with a 55". But when I installed the 49 found out it would have been really challenging to have mounted the 55 (it would have been within 1" of the wall) without being able to reach around the side. BTW, the 49" OLED has a great picture and was a real bargain compared to the 55.

Chuck, are you actually getting 4K. Channels 104, 105, and 106 are the only 4K channels at present. I have the 4K main tv, but the way Entegra had it set up you couldn’t get 4K. Tvs are certainly better, but unless they changed something with the matrix I question whether you can get the above channels.

Thanks J.H. I keep forgetting about the Matrix and all the "step downs" on the wiring. Thank for for the reminder.

Main thing that we get 4K with is Netflix at home. Not enough channels on Sat to even worry about it. At least with the smart TV and with DISH, Netflix can be easily accessed.

The 49 would not be much smaller than the 50 and would be the easiest way. Can you tell a big difference in picture?

I just ran an HDMI directly from the sat receiver to the main TV. Not much free 4K on dish, but "some" sporting events. Streaming 4K is no problem
