TVs only works with Shore power

I'm new to Class C camping. I've had trailer trailers for yrs. I have a 2023 Entegra Odyssey 30z. I certainly expected the tvs to work off house batteries(I have 2) for kids to watch while I drive. Am I missing something?

The moment I unplug shore power, tvs don't work.

Any help would be great!
thanks

I don’t know anything about the Odyssey but my living room and bedroom TVs work from inverter power.

I agree with you that it seems likely the TVs should work while on battery / inverter. Be sure your inverter is on. Do other 110V outlet’s in your coach work when not connected to shore power?

The TV may be plugged into an outlet that is disabled while you are driving, this is to prevent driver from watching TV going down the road.

My front TV has this, no problem for me, we don't watch TV while trying to drive.

Sounds like the TV should be plugged into a duplex that is fed (powered) by an inverter, but I know nothing about your coach model. Time to get on the phone with Entegra and learn about your inverter and your electrical system.

There are going to be very few similar owners of identical coaches on this forum so a fast call to Entegra is gonna get you answers faster than waiting for one on this forum, I believe. Could be wrong.

And yes, coach manufacturers don't want drivers to be watching TV while driving, so may just need to be plugged in elsewhere.

I'll call Entegra & ck inverter. thanks!

For safety reasons, any TV that is in sight of the driver is disabled when the ignition is on. On some coaches, you can bypass that feature by using the other side of the plug or you can disable the feature by cutting the 12v power line to the outlet relay.
