Two basic questions about the 2023 CS
Hi guys, well, after two other coaches, once we sold our 2015 Cornerstone, we are back where we started. We definitely had a mixed experience with an electrically challenged 2018 King Aire and a beautiful and yet very much of a money pit 2008 Marathon. The stories about these coaches are long and possibly boring, but if anyone wants to know, I’m happy to give you details.
However, my post is about this new 2023 Cornerstone that we are picking up in about three weeks. First, is the DEF fuel fill on the wrong side of the truck stop pumps? From what I saw, it was on the passenger side, so I just want to confirm I’m not missing anything and get advice on how you guys manage. Second, these coaches still have a 2 1/2 inch receiver for the tow bar, correct? I saw in some other post that there had been some problems with too tight a fit with the 2 1/2 inch designed towbars, so just wanted to know if that is still the case. Thank you all in advance, Fred.

I believe DEF can be filled from both sides.
Hitch is 2.5" Friend has one and he has not complained about being to tight. He has used both a 2.5" hitch and the 2"-2.5" adapter.
As far as money pit. The more bells and whistles, more things to go wrong. Also as they items get older finding parts get harder. Either parts get discontinued, or company that made parts get bought out, or goes out of business.
As a good friend told me one night that his coach would stay up all night trying to figure out what it was going to have broken in the morning. Since then I think it was just not his that stayed up all night.

Fred,
If I'm not mistaken, while at the Tampa RV Show, I also questioned the lack of driver's side DEF fill access. In speaking to a fellow attendee he said that an Entegra Rep. had mentioned that for an $800.00 upgrade it could be installed. I didn't question any further as I am not in the market for a new Coach. I'm sure someone will respond w/a more definitive answer though.

The Entegra website states “ 15 gal. DEF tank with dual fills (single fill on 45D, 45R)”

Correct my 45D has single fill on passenger side. Doesn’t bother me at all, as my 16 Anthem 44B was the same.
As far as the receiver I just use an adapter.

Thanks guys. That’s what I thought. Mine is a 45D. Seems like I’m stuck with the DEF jugs.

I have duel fills, and still use jugs half the time. Convenience of filling at my leisure. I also use the adapter in the 2.5 inch towing receiver.

I use an adapter for the 2.5 inch hitch. I would prefer the 2.5 inch tow bar so maybe next time.
I noticed the single passenger side DEF on the coach in Tampa.
That would be a change for me. I use only pumps for DEF. Easy, cheaper, faster. But I am sure I could adjust for a new coach.
Congratulations!

Thanks Chuck. I just don’t have a good “jug system” where the DEF doesn’t splatter all over my legs. The small plastic extender that comes with these jugs is never any good. But I’ll figure a better transfer technique.

Thanks! Yes, I’ll have to readapt. To me, DRF pumps are definitely faster.

I fought the same thing. Finally realized if I took my time, screwed the cap on slowly making sure the black vent was inside the container and not pinched, then tighten the lid down, I can fill without loosing a drop.

I also found if you extend the plastic fill tube all the way the splatter stops if you pour slow while fully extended. That does introduce a problem of the nozzle wanting to come out but that is easily managed.
