Underwater docking lights

Ever since the initial delivery of my 14 Anthem I've had problems with those side docking lights filling up with moisture when driving a long day in the rain. CS sent me two replacements a ways back so I decided to see if I could seal the old ones up and keep the new ones as spares. Well, it didn't work. I used clear silicone and siliconed the heck out of them and they still filled up. Here's a photo one of the lights...

So after removing the old one I noticed the wire grommet on the back pushes in easily. Probably also does so with vibration. So I siliconed it to prevent it from popping in. Time will tell if this works...

Thanks for that tip Dave. I have had to replace two of mine from filling with water as well. I did the silicone on the gasket, but not the plug. I will do that the next time I see them on the shelf.

By the way, you can access the back of the rear docking lights using a flashlight and a good dose of silicone via the wheelwells. I think the same for the front ones. No need to unscrew them. Quite a few of my mounting screws were stripped from a overzealous screwgun on the assembly line. The less you remove those lights, the better.
