United shade motor
Anyone have a copy of the united shade install and programming instructions...yellow motors?

My memory is that those motors were a pain in the butt to program. So much so that I have repressed the whole process. Good luck or buy the easily programmed MCDs.

They are manually adjusted with the yellow plastic sticks that come with each motor. Place the hex head in the appropriate adjusting hole and rotate until you get control of the up or down limits as appropriate. Takes a lot of screwing at times.

Correct. You have to keep the limit until you get it where you want. Takes a LOT of turning.

Problem, in my friends 2014, can't get the yellow motors to adjust....no matter how many turns, the motors run a full cycle, both up and down. We think it's got something to do with the programing mode that we haven't been able to access.

I hate to say it, but the reason that Entegra got rid of all those yellow and red motors were that they were really cheap versions of good motors and lots of us owners of that vintage of coach just went crazy with them failing and needing to be replaced. I didn't like paying for the higher price motors but they were nothing but trouble, and so I ended up switching many of them to the higher price, but reliable, versions of the motors, probably also made in Asia, but would work and last. The MCDs mount differently and it took modification of the mounting hardware sometimes. There is a good possibility that your friend's motors are simply not functional. They had problems from the factory and soon after installation. I kept a coupler simply disconnected and rolled up tightly with rubber bands. I have a yellow motor in my basement and a red motor with me and would be happy to send it to someone as I will never try to install any of them again.

Source of those motors could be the problem. The knock offs being sold on eBay have been reported not to work well at all in some cases. Ask your friend if the motors came from Entegra or eBay.

I have no hands on experience with shade adjustments since mine have operated without difficulty since new.
I have come across this: United Shade.pdf which I accessed on the Entegra Coach website ( https://www.entegracoach.com/) Owner's Center.
The .pdf has instructions for installation and adjustment of the United Shades.
There are some phone numbers for help from United Shade:
574-262-0954
877-262-0954
Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm
Friday 8am - 4pm
Those times are in the central time zone.

If the motors won’t take the limits, they need to be replaced. We replace shade motors on all shades all the time due to this issue. Contact Nirvc or any Entegra dealer for assistance.

The newest version of the shade motor is called "black pearl" and oddly it is white.
Very expensive compared to the red ones, but they work good. This place has the best price on the real ones, and has had them in stock the 2 times I've ordered one over the past year.
