I was told when I ordered my 21 that it was going to be the first year of the Valid system. Not familiar with the 20's, maybe someone with a 20 will chime in. There is a noticeable difference between my 19 and the 21 with the Valid.

Could be. What goes into a brochure may not make it into the build.

Found an Andrew Steel video featuring a 2020 CS for sale, owned by the Andretti Racing Chassis team. Had everything we wanted...floor plan, seating, etc. And yes, the Valid Air system. This was the first year for VA as well as the Villa Furniture change from FlexSteel.

That's great they do have the Valid in the 20's. Those of us that do not own a 20 learned something. Back in the days of the Classic there were not that many models, with all the rebranding etc. The amount of changes from year to year with the newer models, it is getting harder, at least for me, to remember what changes were made to which models and what years. Now that the Anthem has many of the features that the CS has, it is even harder. Outside of what I own, I don't even try anymore. I relayed on my purchase and it seems like even that was wrong.

I would budget all maintenance into the equation. If your full timing it will be difficult to find places to do such things as oil changes and filter changes (fuel). I know a lot of campgrounds will balk at a customer pulling out 20qts of oil and trying fill hard to reach filler locations. Then the mess of disposal. I pay the 1k for filter and chassis service at my local shop. What am I going to do with 20qts of used oil? Drive around with it until I get rid of it somewhere, more than likely paying to do so. I am also not about to crawl around with the lube gun on gravel and cement to lube the sucker.

Or the dealer was overselling a feature

Good points...I still have oil from my last engine/tranny oil change in gallon containers at home. Every time I try to recycle, the damn auto store's bin is full.

Or it could have been misinterpretation on my part. "You are also getting the New Valid air leveling system." Me taking it was new on the 21's. Either way, it is a much better system than the Hadley that was on my 19.

Ahhh. Well, then this was true. Does this work like an active air system compensation for lean while cornering?

Yes it does. The Valid in much more responsive without the lag time and much quieter. My Hadley sounded like and iron lung under the drivers seat. On the Hadley I extended the exhaust hose to behind the front tire to quite it down.

Great! This is a great feature to have. Also helps to reduce lateral loads on the coach walls.
