Great perspective. We did a bucket list tour like this several years ago, but we did it over several months and spent at least a week at each stop. We road tripped in the toad from Zion to see Bryce (which unless you've got the legs is a one day-er, for us). Likewise, you can visit several on day trips out of Moab. I'd try to stay longer at stops and use the toad. JMHO, because even as we did it, after two months we were exhausted with all the aspects of travel.

Monument Valley is worth a stop and tour if its on your route. Nice RV park in the Valley and a guided tour is well worth the money. Historic Fort Bluff on Hwy 191 south of Blanding is worth a 2 hour stop to see the history of the settlement of southeast Utah. Monument Valley was the site for the filming of a number of great John Wayne westerns.

With Pets

Our biggest challenge is that we cannot leave our pets for more than a half day at a time. In a couple years we will not have pets anymore and we will come back to heal our broken hearts in these beautiful parks and take more time. For now we appreciate all the POSITIVE feedback on what we CAN DO with only 1-3 days in each area. :-)

If you stick with this plan...there probably has never been a couple so happy to be home.

I hear you about the pets. Our Yorkie is almost 15 so we know we have some serious heartache down the road. A lot of our plans are made around him. Can't stand the look on his face when he realizes he isn't going somewhere with us
